Terms & Conditions

These Terms & Conditions govern your use of The Embassy by Devlin's services, including dining reservations, private functions, events, and membership. By making a booking or attending The Embassy, you agree to the following terms.

1. Reservations

Reservations at The Embassy are made via our online booking platform (SevenRooms) or by telephone. All bookings are subject to availability and confirmation by our team.

  • A valid credit card may be required to secure certain reservations, including large group bookings and special event nights.
  • Reservations are held for a maximum of 15 minutes past the confirmed booking time. We reserve the right to release the table after this period.
  • Walk-ins are welcome subject to availability and are not guaranteed a table.

2. Cancellations & No-Shows

We understand that plans change. We ask for a minimum of 24 hours' notice for all cancellations or amendments to reservations.

  • Cancellations made with less than 24 hours' notice may attract a cancellation fee of $25 per person where a credit card has been provided.
  • No-shows (failure to attend without notice) will attract the full per-person cancellation fee.
  • For group bookings of 10 or more guests, a minimum of 48 hours' notice is required for cancellation or amendment.
  • Cancellation fees for ticketed events and private functions are outlined separately in your event confirmation.

3. Group Bookings

Groups of 10 or more guests are considered group bookings and are subject to the following conditions:

  • A group menu or set menu may be required for groups of 10 or more at the discretion of the kitchen.
  • A deposit may be required to confirm a group booking. This will be communicated at the time of booking.
  • Final guest numbers must be confirmed no later than 48 hours prior to the event.
  • The Embassy reserves the right to charge for confirmed guest numbers in the event of a reduction in numbers within 48 hours of the event.

4. Dietary Requirements & Allergies

We take dietary requirements and food allergies seriously. Please advise us of any requirements at the time of booking. Whilst we take every care to accommodate all dietary needs, we cannot guarantee that our kitchen is entirely free from allergens including nuts, gluten, shellfish, and dairy.

  • Requests made on the day may not always be accommodated during peak periods.
  • Guests with severe allergies are encouraged to contact us in advance to discuss their specific requirements.

5. Private Functions & Events

Private function and event bookings are subject to separate Function Terms & Conditions provided at the time of enquiry. Key conditions include:

  • A signed agreement and deposit is required to confirm all private function bookings.
  • Minimum spend requirements apply to certain spaces and time periods.
  • Cancellations within 14 days of the event date will forfeit the deposit. Cancellations within 7 days will be charged at 50% of the agreed minimum spend.
  • The Embassy reserves the right to modify or cancel an event in circumstances beyond our control, including but not limited to natural disaster, public health orders, or building requirements.

6. Responsible Service of Alcohol

The Embassy operates under a liquor licence and is committed to the responsible service of alcohol. We reserve the right to refuse service of alcohol to any guest who appears intoxicated. Guests are required to produce valid identification upon request. The Embassy does not permit the consumption of alcohol brought onto the premises by guests (BYO is not permitted unless specifically arranged and agreed in writing in advance).

7. Children & Noise

Children are welcome at The Embassy for early sittings (lunch and early dinner service). We ask that children remain seated and are supervised by an accompanying adult at all times. The Embassy is a licensed venue and maintains an atmosphere consistent with premium dining; we ask all guests to be mindful of noise levels for the comfort of other diners.

8. Dress Code

Smart casual attire is required at all times. The Embassy reserves the right to refuse entry to guests whose attire is deemed inappropriate for the dining environment. Thongs, singlets, and sportswear are not permitted.

9. Privacy

We collect personal information as part of the reservation process and membership programme. Please review our Privacy Policy for details on how we collect, store, and use your personal information.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the extent permitted by law, The Embassy by Devlin's shall not be liable for any loss, damage, or injury suffered by guests on the premises, except where such loss or damage is caused by our negligence. We accept no responsibility for loss of or damage to personal property brought onto the premises.

11. Amendments to These Terms

The Embassy reserves the right to update or amend these Terms & Conditions at any time. The current version will always be available on this page. Continued use of our services following any changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
